About Ian

Ian P. Hurley is a multimedia photographer and communications professional based in the Washington, DC metro area.

Ian has nine years experience in the news media and communication fields as a photographer and photojournalist for newspapers, magazines, universities, companies and nonprofit organizations.

In August of 2012 he completed a Master of Arts in Public Communication from American University. Ian’s capstone project investigated multimedia communication across the advertising, nonprofit and journalism fields. While there he was a member of the American University Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) chapter. In 2002 he received a Bachelor of Arts in History from West Virginia University.
